2/21

We've been sailing between St. John and St. Thomas.

Hansen Beach (Round Bay), St. John - Here we are anchored with our buddies Ada and Avalon!

Persephone on left, Ada in middle and Avalon on right.

Coral Bay, St. John has a famous burger place - Skinny Legs.  All 6 of us went to Skinny Legs with our masks on.  Once we were seated with very few people around us we took off masks and dove into big juicy burgers!

A picture of happy, hungry people.

Andy had a chance to play with his drone - it has an arm that can pick up things....like water balloons....

Bombs away on Ada!  You can hear Dustyn laughing!  Had a wonderful time, as always, with Brandon, Dustyn, Charli and Andy hanging out on Avalon enjoying the ambiance of the beautiful anchorage while reminiscing and telling stories.  But...Ada and Avalon sailed off to St. Martin where Andy was registered for the St. Martin Multihull Challenge so we said our goodbyes.

We sailed to St. Thomas to fill up the water tanks and buy some fresh produce.  We've been walking in the mornings and finding some scenic vistas.  It's incredible how a simple 2 mile walk can be exhausting when the temperature is 80 degrees and the route is straight up.

Steps up....

Further up the hill above downtown Charlotte Amalie.

Same place looking west with Hassel and Water Islands in the distance.

Another hike takes us in the other direction starting at the empty cruise ship piers to the road that leads to the Skyview cable car ride (closed for covid).  You can see downtown Charlotte Amalie in the distance.

From Paradise Point's Skyview ride.

Another view from the same spot.

And at the very end of the road above the Skyview Ride.

Looks like plans are shaping up to head to the Bahamas at the beginning of March.  My sister Susan is flying in (after taking a Covid test to enter St. Thomas), we'll all take Covid tests to arrange entry to the Bahamas, and then off we go!  Great Inagua, the easternmost of the Bahamian islands with a settlement and customs office will be our first stop.
Send new of what's going on there!
